When your ownership of Crown began?

November 1, 2024

Who is in the business (family members)?

My husband and I run this business and it has been an adventure. The previous owner, Kris Kirk has stayed on part time as our master engraver. We are so grateful to have him working with us.

What did you do prior to becoming a Crown franchise?

Michael is a mechanical engineer (BSME) with years of experience in retail sales, corporate finance, product design and manufacturing engineering. He has an MBA and is Green Belt certified and has been using his knowledge of lean operations and six sigma to continuously improve store performance. I have been a medical aesthetician and a board certified makeup artist for the past 15 years with years of experience in social media marketing and corporate networking.

Town you are living in now / Is it close to store?

We moved to Alabama 4 years ago right before COVID and have always wanted to go into business for ourselves. When we saw the Crown Trophy in town going for sale we knew we wanted to do something that would involve us in the community more actively and so we leapt at the chance. We live in Opelika 10 min away from the shop so that has been great for us.

Born / Raised

Michael is originally from south Florida and I was born and raised in Santiago Chile. We met briefly there but didn't connect until later in life when we both attended college in Utah.

Alma Mater

Michael has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from BYU, and an MBA and Green Belt certification from the University of Utah. I have an Associate’s degree in business administration and an Associate’s degree in Pre-law from Santiago, Chile.
